Our Facilities

At Wirrigirri Primary School our facilities are designed to support a thriving learning environment. By Day 1 of Term 1, 2025, the school will feature a learning hub building that includes learning zones and pods, student toilets, and staff planning areas, along with three relocatable learning spaces for specialist subjects and Out of School Hours Care.

“Wirrigirri” (pronounced werry-jerry), derived from the Woiwurrung language of the Wurundjeri people, means “messenger.” Historically, the Wirrigirri was a vital figure who carried important messages and invitations between Aboriginal clans, often using a message stick. The role of the Wirrigirri symbolises communication and connection, embodying our school’s core values of Respect, Curiosity, and Collaboration.
